Classical Pearls Herbal Formulas™ webinar – Introduction: Unique Strategies for Treating Complex Diseases with Chinese Herbs
Originally aired on January 7, 2011 (63 mins.)
Standard TCM textbook approaches teach practitioners of Chinese medicine to use eight parameter diagnostics, determining whether a patient suffers from excess or deficiency. Since these two states are opposite in nature, they are most often assumed to manifest in different patients with completely different diseases. Most chronic patients, however, present with complex conditions that involve both excess and deficiency. Heiner Fruehauf will explain why the black and white herbal approach is not useful for most chronic patients we see in modern times, and how long-term patient care for serious disorders almost always requires the composition of formulas that balance the prescription of hot and cold, dry and moist, internal and external substances. This was an introductory course for the 4-hour webinar of the same name on January 16, 2011.

Most of the material has been recorded in locations throughout mainland China.

We have recently created an Associates Forum preview page, and established Associates Forum institutional memberships for larger scholastic audiences. In addition, there are Professional Development Activity credits available for practitioners who wish pursue this medicine further from the convenience of their homes.
