Sacred Mountain Retreat to China - Summer 2010After four years of pursuing other activities, Prof. Heiner Fruehauf is finally organizing another Sacred Mountain Retreat in the summer of 2010. Reverend Mingchan, respected abbott of the Jiashan Zen Monastery in Hunan, has offered Prof. Fruehauf the opportunity to conduct classes in Qigong and Chinese medicine in the privacy of his monastery. The monastery, first established during the Song Dynasty (9th century) and located in the natural environment of Jiashan Nature Preserve, represents one of the most important monasteries in the history of the Chan/Zen tradition of Chinese Buddhism. This is also an exciting opportunity to spend three weeks studying with some of Prof. Fruehauf's colleagues, including Prof. Wang Qingyu, Prof. Liu Lihong and Liu Yaosheng. The Associates Forum at ClassicalChineseMedicine.orgThis section of our site has been configured to feature video presentations and selected written material of Classical Chinese Medicine teachings by Professors Wang Qingyu, Liu Lihong, Heiner Fruehauf, and a variety of other scholars and physicians who are at the forefront of the Classical Chinese Medicine renaissance in China. Most of the material has been recorded in locations throughout mainland China. We are constantly adding new material to the Associates Forum with the hope that it will be used by scholars, teachers, and practitioners of Chinese medicine to expand their knowledge base and contribute to their personal practices, studies, and the medicine as a whole. We have recently created an Associates Forum preview page, and established Associates Forum institutional memberships for larger scholastic audiences. We are also committed to establishing continuing education credits for practitioners who wish pursue this medicine further, but from the convenience of their homes.
